Christmas Eve Tradition

Every Christmas Eve after my family and I go to church; we go to a family friend’s house for or annual Christmas eve party. We do the same thing every year, and it has changed since I was seven years old. And that is, walk-in say our hellos, walk over to the drink “bar” grab the Rudolph cup and make Shirley temples. After that, my best friend and I go to her room listening to Christmas music and have fun until its time to go downstairs and eat some food! We then track Santa, make Christmas cookies, then have a dance party in the kitchen. After that, my best friend’s mom reads the night before Christmas, and then its time to go.

Complete disconnect from the outside world
Speechless
With the room full of pure talent
You create a whole new world
Live with no mistakes

Chills constantly fill my entire body
You give the feeling that the impossible can be possible
Astonished
You perform 8 shows a week
With everyone performing as if it is their first
You help me get through the hard times
Dark nights washed away by your bright lights
I applaud you for never failing to amaze me
Time to take your bow

90 Word Memoir

I’m playing at the top of my stairs in my hot pink Barbie jeep. Rocking back and forth with my favorite uncle watching me. I then flew down the stairs.


“ABBA!” my mom shouted, “Are you okay?”
I nod my head with a yes while the tears were rolling down my face.
“Why would you do that?”
“I don’t know.”
My parents got me ice for the big bumps and bruises I’ve just got. Never again did I play in my pink Barbie jeep on the top of the stairs.

Would You Rather…?

Would you rather go water skiing or snow skiing?

I would rather go snow skiing. Snow skiing hurts less when you fall, and it’s fun going fast down the mountains with your friends. Also, you have good memories of being on the ski lift. I wouldn’t want to go water skiing because I feel like it’ll be hard to stay up and enjoy the fun, and also, if you fall, it will hurt a lot.
